About Meat Method

What is Meat Method?

Meat Method is a cooking blog focused entirely on technique — how to consistently get meat, poultry, and game exactly right. It was founded by Nevaeh Hall in 2026 and built around one core idea: good results come from method, not talent.

Who is Meat Method for?

For anyone who wants to stop guessing with meat — whether you’ve pulled a roast too early, oversalted a steak, or can’t figure out why your chicken always comes out dry. No professional kitchen required, no specialty equipment, just the technique explained clearly enough to actually use.

Who is behind Meat Method?

Meat Method was founded and is run by Nevaeh Hall, a home cook and recipe developer with more than 11 years of experience, based in Chicago, IL. Nevaeh also runs Nevaeh Recipes. Meat Method is where that same cross-niche cooking experience is applied to the most technique-sensitive corner of the kitchen. Read more on the About page.

Does Meat Method cover all proteins?

Yes — beef, lamb, poultry, and game, across every cut and preparation. We also cover buying guides and butchery, not just cooking methods.

How is Meat Method different from Nevaeh Recipes?

Nevaeh Recipes covers general home cooking for every kind of eater. Meat Method is the technique-focused lane — the side of cooking where method matters more than philosophy, developed from that same eleven years of cross-niche kitchen experience.

About the Recipes and Guides

Are the recipes and guides really tested?

Yes, every one. Every recipe and guide on Meat Method is tested at least twice by Nevaeh in her own home kitchen in Chicago, using cuts from regular grocery stores and butchers — no professional equipment. Every recipe also passes the real-world test: it goes on the table for Nevaeh’s family of four, including one very honest 8-year-old. If it clears that table, it makes the blog.

Is the temperature guidance safe to rely on?

All temperature guidance on Meat Method is cross-referenced against USDA safe minimum internal temperature recommendations, but it’s provided for general informational purposes and isn’t a substitute for official guidance. For authoritative, up-to-date food safety information, always check the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service directly. See our Disclaimer page for more detail.

How accurate are the nutritional values?

Where provided, nutritional values are estimates based on standard ingredients and standard portion sizes. They can vary depending on the exact cut, brand, and preparation method you use. Use them as a general guide rather than an exact measure. For specific dietary or medical nutritional needs, we always recommend consulting a registered dietitian.

Can I adapt a recipe for allergies or dietary needs?

Some rubs, marinades, and sauces may contain common allergens like soy, dairy, or gluten — we try to flag these where relevant. Have a specific substitution question? Ask via the contact page. Please note — Meat Method does not provide medical, dietetic, or food safety professional advice. For serious allergies, health conditions, or food safety concerns, always consult a qualified professional or the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service.

How long do these recipes and guides actually take?

It depends on the technique — this isn’t a weeknight-speed blog, so timing is stated honestly rather than minimized. A pan-seared steak might take 15 minutes; a proper low-and-slow brisket might take most of a day. We always state realistic timing upfront, including any hands-off periods like resting, marinating, or smoking, so you can plan around it.

Can I share a Meat Method recipe or guide on social media?

Please do. Just make sure you credit Meat Method clearly and include a link back to the original post. What is not okay is reproducing a recipe or guide in full on another website or blog without written permission.

Can I request a technique or a cut to be covered?

Yes. Have a cut, technique, or piece of equipment you want us to break down? Send your request to contact@meatmethod.net. We read everything, even if we can’t respond to every message individually.

About the Website

Why are there ads on the website?

Meat Method is free for everyone to use. To keep it that way and keep developing new guides, we display advertising through Google AdSense. Ads are selected automatically by Google and are completely independent of our editorial decisions. See our Advertising Disclosure page for more information.

Does Meat Method use affiliate links?

No. Meat Method does not use affiliate links of any kind. When we recommend a piece of equipment, a cut, or a technique tool, it’s because we genuinely use it — not because we earn anything from it. Every recommendation on this website is fully independent.

How do I report an error?

Email contact@meatmethod.net or leave a comment on the relevant post. We take errors seriously, especially around temperature and food safety guidance, and will check and correct them as quickly as possible.
